We start to have the feeling that we can prepare a new blog just about velomobiles, because there have been some many new ones in last few monthes. Last news which we have found is the Bricycle delta velomobile with outstanding design and with electric assist. It is just a prototype right now, but it looks quite nice. On the website www.bricycles.com you can find lot of texts about the ideas, developing, technical details etc. Hereunder you can also see the video about Bricycle.

This is the best news which we have heard today. Same has managed it and improved his own speed record. It has happened yesterday in Battle Mountain, Nevada (USA). And the world highest human powered speed is… 132,4 km/h

We were so surprised when we found a video with Velayo velomobile. It looks completely different than any other velomobile. The design with open wheels looks quite retro and is beautiful. Probably because we have not seen anything like that before. It looks that the guy prepares this velomobile to be produced and sold in batches. Unfornatenully on his web page www.fortschritt-fahrzeugbau.de you cannot see much, expect two pictures, but couple of videos gives good idea of how the machine looks like. From the first video where is only the frame the velomobile looks quite huge, but it seems it has the right height to be visible in the traffic and to go over smaller or bigger bumps. Also the weather protection seems to be good. The only problem we see in open front wheels which can cause a big geysir in the rain. We do not know much about the project nor about the steering or riding properties, but from pictures and videos it looks really nice.

If you write “recumbent” into the “search” of Youtube.com on the first place there is a crazy off-road video of AZUB. Than there are several others, but we think that the videos which are done by czech manufacturer AZUB are the best recumbent videos you can see. As same as their bikes, the videos are hard, fast, with good and sporty atmosphere and you can feel from these videos that guys from AZUB really love recumbents and that they live with them.

Another great one is the ZOX video from New York city. It is short, but profesionally done. We like it too. We have not found it on Youtube.com so here is the direct link: ZOX video
