AZUB Eco Traumvelo +line edition

German recumbent dealer Traumvelo (near München) together with AZUB BIKE has introduced a a special version of AZUB ECO. Here is what is written on AZUBrecumbents blog.

“We have prepared a special edition of AZUB ECO for one of the best german recumbent dealers – Traumvelo. Andreas Seilinger likes the stable ride and look of the bike but wanted to have better specification and some kind of exclusivity. So what you can see is AZUB ECO Traumvelo +line with red color, Sram Dual Drive 24 speeds and some accessories in standard: mudguards (look at the front one which is longer so the water doesn´t spray your feet), stand and ECO bag. Also special stickers makes the bike different. The price is 1400 EUR, so if you like the bike, you can order it via Traumvelo near München.”

The other bike which belongs to Traumvelo +line  is a superlight version of HP Speedmachine with polished aluminum frame, and many lightweight components incl. carbon seat. The weight is 12,3 kg.

New velomobile from Velomobiel.nl – Strada

Many of you already know. Many don´t. There are not many informations about the new velomobile from most known velomobile producer – from Velomobiel.nl. Their new model´s name is Strada and one can hardly find any picture of it on internet. The idea is based on the Mango velomobile (produced in Ligfietsgarage Groningen now) which was developed and produced in Velomobiel.nl few years ago. But Strada has 26″ rear wheel. Compare to Quest, Strada has open front wheels, it is shorter and it has bigger “smurf hat” – the bump behind the rider´s head.  And you can have it in any RAL color you want, which is not possble with Quest. As same as Quest, you got the Strada fully equipped for riding, with spare tube, service kit, lightweight pump, lights and a velomobile bag which fits inside next to the seat.

Thanks to the open from wheels and shorter wheel base Strada has shorter turning radius which makes it more usefull in cities and in case you need to turn on very small place. The cost of this advantage is worse aerodynamic and lower speed. But it seems to be a true velomobile from Velomobiel.nl with perfect aerodynamic shape what makes it fast anyway.

We will come with some more news from Velomobiel.nl soon. You can wait also a double interview with Allert Jacobs and Ymte Sijbrandij – two main guys from Velomobiel.nl.

New Cab-bike velomobile

Few posts ago, we have mentioned a polish velomobile. Finally the story is a little bit different, because Maciej Kaczmarek from Poland seems to be only a maker and the velomobile is a new version of Cab-Bike – originaly a german velomobile company which is pretty known in EU as same as in US.

The old web site of Cab-Bike seems to be pretty long time not updated and there is a new web on http://www.info-cab-bike.de.tl/Home.htm

Here are some new pictures from their new web.

Where to continue:

- Amphibian velomobile
- Russian velomobile homebuildres
- Vaniczka home made streamliner
- Recumbent trike fairing
